Insta-Set is a catalyst that functions as an accelerator, allowing cyanoacrylates (CAs) to cure rapidly in thick layers by improving the alkaline conditions during polymerization. Typically dispensed from a spray bottle, Insta-Set is commonly utilized to cure excess CA that seeps out from joints when assembling parts. Strengthening a joint significantly can be achieved by applying an additional line of thick CA along a seam and then curing it with Insta-Set. For challenging bonding situations, Insta-Set can be applied to one surface and CA to the opposing surface; upon contact, an immediate bond forms. Formulated with a pleasant strawberry fragrance, Insta-Set triggers CA activation within 6 to 8 seconds without compromising the strength of the CAs, a common issue with many other accelerators. It is compatible with various surfaces, including clear plastic and white foam materials.
