The Quest Q-Jets are considered the most advanced 18mm model rocket motors globally. These high-performance Q-Jet composite propellant motors utilize a solid propellant similar to that used in NASA's Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA's upcoming SLS moon rocket. Featuring a patent-pending polymer case and bulkhead with high strength, ceramic nozzle, and RCSs exclusive Black Max aerospace-grade composite propellant formulation, these motors achieve nearly double the specific impulse (ISP) of traditional black powder propellants. Unlike black powder motors, they are not affected by thermal cycling.
